It has been a while since I posted about thrifting and deals that I've scored lately...I have been so preoccupied with furniture and getting pieces ready for the Long Beach show...BUT, Don't you worry your pretty little head friends...A thriftin' I have been! Now, I don't know about you all BUT If I pull up to a yard sale such as this.....I won't even get out of the car (Hence the photo from the INSIDE of the car...)Clothes alllllllll over the place...Twentysomething homeowners...and baby toys...NOT my scene..I'm looking for Dementia Dan and Senile Suzy! Looking to make some cash so they can check into Shady Oaks assisted living! Thank. YOU. Very much. hahahaha, Is that wrong of me? Am I praying on the elderly??? I. AM. TERRIBLE..welp, moving right along... lol I'm such a bitch...

Well, I've shown you all my strategies and routine...Here's what I've scored over the past 2 weeks...(It's been riding in my car because I have to slooowly introduce the hubby to all my new purchases...It's almost like bringing a new puppy or kitty home? You can't just spring them on the current cats and dogs...they'll go crazy. Everyone has to get acclimated first....baby steps, baby steps...hahahahah.. Here's all my loot pulled out on the lawn, so I can wipe it down and price it for the show....Drum roll please.........

A vintage "Gund" plush clown, apparently he is HATED by most but..I LOVE HIM! (Really, I mostly enjoy torturing people who are scared of him!) Here he is, posed out in the back yard last night...Just hangin' around....
(Oh..and yeh' we did have to tape a little knife in his hand.....It just seemed like the appropriate prop!) |

The Stanley thermos is great but will admit the clown is definitely creepy. Love the stacking lawn tables and lawn chair too. Don't ya just love "treasure hunting"?

ReplyDeleteI love stuff like that but I would buy everything...I love those salt & pepper shakers....great finds! Oh yes I totally hate when you go to yard sales to find newish baby stuff and clothes...and they want 5 bucks for a shirt...come on.
