Hi Lovey!
I got this mirror from my girl Susie at VnB estate service and she gave me a GREAT deal! Of course, I immediately saw the potential in this old girl...
Whaaa... You don't see the potential here?? You will...... = ) |
Mmkay, you guys the routine by now, right?
A.S.C.P Baby! I whipped out my chalk paint and let her rip, tater chip!
Old White |
To paint as close to the frame as possible shove a piece of paper under the frame to get as close to the inside edges as possible when painting. Next time I think I will buy a couple of pieces of scrapbook card stock!
(A little sturdier piece of paper would have been nice) |
All taped off now, and first coat is applied. |
2nd coat is on BUT I need to do all the recessed areas and little carved areas.. |
This stencil brush from Michael's worked well in the more recessed and hard to get to areas. |
Paintings done..Get to Distressing! |
Nice and scruffy.. |
Be sure to blow off all existing dust, then Apply your base coat of clear wax. |
Then make your mash up! (Equal parts of clear and dark mixed together) |
Cover everywhere you want an antiqued and aged look. |
Get a glob of clear wax, and start removing the wax where you don't want it
OR where you don't want it as heavy.. |
Look how easy this wipes off! |
All Done.. |
VIOLA! |
Thanks for stoppin' by..
Muah!
Meliss
* P.S, Here's a sneak peek into what is coming soon....
(Rubbing hands together) Muah ha ha ha ha
