"Billie"


BEFORE. Nice vintage desk with original town and country hardware.
Look at those carvings at the bottom... LUV it!

Hi Lovies,
Well here is that chippy luuvvvvvvv..desk I was tellin' ya about the other day. She is all done up in "Provence" from ASCP. Dark waxed it like a mutha' and TA DAAAAAA... I call her "Billie" Cuz' she's got some dirty blues honey! Hope you likey..

OH! I tried a new tool out  I read about...cabinet scrapers...I guess they are used in finishing cabinetry, ya' know..for like..SCRAPING!? ;)  BUT they also help with giving a chippy look!I got mine from ebay for $16.00 for 3 different styles of blade. I found the curvy one is the one I liked best. I even took video.. check it out..

*DISCLAIMER* I am not a video editor and I have no idea how to "Cut and/or Splice" so, sorry..your just gonna have to sit through the whole boring thing! hahha Just wanted to share how I achieved the chippy look (ALSO, some people do this same process with a razor blade..Yikes!)




I used Annie Sloan "Provence"

She had some very minor issues..nothing a little wood filler can't fix!





                                             Like butta'....


When it gets too chilly to paint outside,paint in...YOUR KITCHEN!

    Thanks for adding the video. I had a friend ask me about how to make the wood look chipped and I didn't have a very good answer for her, but now I do. Great work!

    I love ASCP Provence. I am painting so many small shelves and side tables that color right now. You sure have the 'wear points' looking authentic.

    LOVE IT!! Whew, so glad to see I'm not the only one that paints in the kitchen....wait 'til I show these comments to my husband....thanks for backing me up ladies. LOL. And,I just HAVE to find someplace here locally that sells Annie Sloan, I'm just itchin' to try it.
